At release, the Phantom was the new hotness. In retrospective, it took X-Wing down a dark path, where super-powered turrets or high-PS aces were the only way to play. It's not a bad ship, even after the change to the rules for how decloaking works, but the impact it had on the tournament scene knocks a few points off.
